On Friday and Saturday evenings, the venue will transform into a bar and intimate music venue, regularly showcasing up and coming original performers from across the UK. The former shop, at The Borough, has undergone a complete refurbishment into a community space and will open as a cafe by day serving a selection of locally sourced savoury and sweet treats, alongside a small business centre allowing members of the public to book and make use of the desks and meeting room. Ian, 57, a musician who plays with award winning band Riley’s Cove, set about setting up the venue after regularly visiting Nashville’s listening rooms. The Bluebird Cafe - inspired by the world famous listening rooms in Nashville, USA - is the brainchild of Ian Scott and his business partner Andy Daintree and has opened in Wedmore.
